Fighting food insecurity across Schenectady County
Our mission:
Schenectady Shares is an all volunteer initiative focused on addressing food insecurity and related health and well-being concerns of residents in Schenectady County.
Our vision:
Schenectady Shares is committed to restocking the shelves of food providers beyond the holidays, and by collecting and donating fresh food and promoting awareness about year-round food insecurity.
Donate to the County-Wide Food Drive
This year’s campaign runs from March 3, 2026 through April 17, 2026 with collection sites across Schenectady County!
Join us for our kickoff press conference on Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s, 1247 State Street in Schenectady, and consider bringing a non-perishable food and/or personal hygiene product donation!
The need for food and support has grown, we are here to help.
Our food providers are facing greater demand for their services every year. Our goal is to provide resources where our community needs them the most.
